Nordic Casemix Centre is announcing that as of December 1, 2020, the CEO of Nordic Casemix Centre has changed.
The management of Nordic Casemix Centre has been the responsibility of Martti Virtanen since 2008. He has been involved in casemix since 1995 and has been responsible for the development of the Nordic Casemix system. Martti has worked as Head of the Nordic Centre for Classifications in Health Care (2003-2008) in Uppsala, which was a common arena for developing and managing the NordDRG system before founding the Nordic Casemix Centre. Martti has also been involved in a number of WHO-FIC Committees, including the development of ICD-11 and ICHI. In addition to all that, Martti has continued his clinical work as a trained pediatrician.
Martti will continue working in Nordic Casemix Centre as Senior Consultant and will keep on sharing his valuable experiences in the casemix field.
As of December 1, 2020, Nordic Casemix Centre will be led by Kristiina Kahur (MD, MPH), who has been working as the Centre’s Vice Director from the end of 2018 up until now.
Kristiina has been working with the casemix systems since 2007 and has shared her experiences and knowledge in the Estonian Health Insurance Fund, the Finnish national DRG-Centre (within FCG Consulting Ltd.), and as a freelance consultant in casemix systems in several different countries.
